West County entrepreneurs looking to start a business can get a significant leg up by joining Urban FIRE (Financial Intelligence, Responsible Entrepreneurship) training sessions, according to Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, which has East Bay offices in both Richmond and Oakland.

A free orientation for the courses will take place this Saturday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Oakland Housing Authority at 935 Union St. in West Oakland.

The training courses, which cost between $100 and $200 for 22 sessions, begin Feb. 13. See the flyer for more information.
