The San Pablo Economic Development Corporation is offering free monthly workshops for local job seekers, with the next session taking place Thursday on the subject of cover letter writing.

The workshops, which are held Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 13830 San Pablo Ave. (Suite D), intend to help residents build skills to land their next job. After each workshop, EDC staff will schedule 30-minute one-on-one follow-up sessions with interested students to further assist with their career search.

The program additionally teaches financial literacy, including strategies on repairing or building your credit, along with effective strategies to help people succeed once hired.

“This is free to the public, so please forward this schedule to people you know would benefit,” program coordinator Vivian Wong said.
