Richmond Mayor Tom Butt is set to deliver his second State of the City address on Tuesday, Jan. 26., the mayor’s office announced Thursday.

The address will be delivered in Richmond City Council Chambers, 440 Civic Center Plaza, starting at 6:30 p.m., and will run in conjunction with the regularly scheduled council meeting.

A statement by the mayor’s office offered a bit of insight into the State of the City presentation:

“During his address, Mayor Butt will highlight accomplishments from 2015 and lay out his top priorities for the new year, which will include reducing crime, stabilizing the city’s fiscal affairs, enhancing educational outcomes, addressing housing needs and advancing sustainability initiatives. Additionally, Mayor Butt will introduce new Mayor’s Office staff and announce Richmond’s Person of the Year 2015. The State of the City Address will occur in conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting.”

The photo shows Mayor Butt (on the left) and City Manager Bill Lindsay and was posted by the mayor on social media in November, when Lindsay’s contract was renewed.
