The community is invited to a grand opening event for John F. Kennedy Park, which residents banded together to rebuild at a single-day volunteer event last fall.

The park renovation wasn’t quite finished on that October day, so now the Friends of JFK Park are inviting everyone back to show the park at its more complete state and to thank the generous donors who made the rebuild possible.

The grand opening event, which will include the unveiling of a Little Free Library at the park, will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Cutting Boulevard and S. 41st St.
