The El Cerrito Police Department is hosting a community forum next week on whether officers should wear body cameras.

The meeting, which will also include discussion about other video-based technologies, starts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the El Cerrito City Hall at 10890 San Pablo Ave.

“This meeting will be an opportunity to have a collaborative conversation about police use of these technologies,” according to a city statement. “Police Chief Sylvia Moir and other department members will be on hand to participate in this discussion.
