The RichmondBUILD career training program is now recruiting for its January 2016 class.

Eligible residents from Richmond and San Pablo will receive free construction and HAZMAT job training as well as certifications in a number of skills and disciplines. See the flyer below for details on eligibility and how to apply.

RichmondBUILD is a public-private partnership providing free training for high-wage positions in construction and renewable energy. Recruits are particularly in need with two major projects upcoming in Richmond, including the $1 billion modernization of the Chevron Richmond Refinery, which will create up to 2,300 jobs, including about 1,000 construction jobs, and Solar One, a solar farm project on land that Chevron provided to Marin Clean Energy as part of a community benefits agreement connected to the modernization project. That solar farm, which when built should be able to power up to 3,400 homes, is expected to create 344 local jobs.
