The Bay Area News Group has reported that a 38-year-old Richmond man died in a West Oakland shooting Saturday.

The incident occurred at 7:32 p.m. near 21st and Market streets, where someone opened fire at the Richmond man as he was standing near a car containing two women and a 4-year-old, according to the news organization.

The two women, a 25-year-old from San Leandro and 34-year-old from Union City, were wounded but the child wasn’t. The women are in stable condition, the news report stated.

The Richmond man, who had apparently previously lived in Oakland, hasn’t been identified pending the notification of his family.
