A person was fatally struck by an eastbound Amtrak train near Central Avenue and Jacuzzi Street in Richmond, officials said.

The incident occurred about 3:15 p.m. as the train was headed from Oakland to Sacramento, Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham told Bay City News.

More than 90 passengers were on board the train, but none were injured, Graham said.
