The person who was struck by an Amtrak train near Central Avenue and Jacuzzi Street in Richmond last week has been identified as 53-year-old Shirley Bishop of El Cerrito.

She was reportedly hit at 3:15 p.m. on Nov. 12 by a train headed from Oakland to Sacramento. None of the train’s crew or 90-plus passengers were injured.

Earlier this week, coroner’s officials said the death appeared to be an accident.
