Richmond residents are encouraged to bring their busted bicycles to the city’s main public library on Saturday to receive free repair services.

The Bay Area BikeMobile and the Richmond Public Library are hosting a free bicycle repair clinic from noon to 4 p.m. at the main library at 325 Civic Center Plaza.

Not only will free repair service be provided (first 20 bikes guaranteed service), bike technicians will coach participants on how to repair their own bicycles.

The Bay Area BikeMobile results from a partnership between Spare the Air Youth and Safe Routes to School and focuses on low-income communities that may lack access to professional bike repair, organizers said.
