The image above was posted on Twitter last night by The Advocate, Contra Costa College’s student newspaper, following a wild non-injury shooting near the school Sunday night.

On Monday morning, we called the Richmond Police Department and found out that a whopping 37 rounds were fired at a victim who had been sitting in his vehicle in the 2900 block of Shane Drive about 8:50 p.m.

“Fortunately, the victim was not struck by the gunfire and was not injured,” Richmond police Lt. Andre Hill said. “Apparently, the suspect was inside another vehicle and fled the area prior to police arrival.”

No arrests have been made.
