Finally after seven games, the Kennedy High junior varsity team allowed another team to score — but only 2 points.

We recently marveled that the young Eagles started off the season by outscoring opponents 242-0 in its first five games. While their dream year has continued — the Eagles are now at 7-0 — they did give up their first points of the season against Berean Christian on Saturday. The Eagles dominated to win 20-2.

According to teacher Sal Morabito, the Berean Christian defense recorded a safety right after Kennedy High’s 95-yard touchdown run was called back for a penalty.

We’re betting the Eagles aren’t losing any sleep over 2 points. The team, which has now outscored opponents this year 340-2, has two more games left in its hunt for a perfect season.

“Just amazing to see these young people doing so well and especially believing in themselves,” Morabito said.
