Office of Neighborhood Safety seeks public’s help in winning $10,000 grant

DeVone Boggan, head of Office of Neighborhood Safety, leaving Richmond posts to launch consulting firm

The following is a statement from the Office of Neighborhood Safety,

Have you noticed crime has gone down in Richmond, California?

Some say it’s due to DeVone Boggan and his innovative idea to develop the Office of Neighborhood Safety and the Operation Peacemaker Fellowship Program.  Under the passionate leadership of DeVone Boggan, the city has actually experienced a 76-percent reduction in gun violence.

The ONS is a government, non-law enforcement agency charged with reducing firearm assaults and associated deaths.  The intervention efforts and this new approach to gun violence reduction are nothing short of extraordinary.

To help celebrate these efforts, NationSwell, a company focused on “new innovators, pioneers, and builders who are doing the most creative and impactful things to move America forward” has nominated DeVone Boggan as an AllStar.  It is within your reach to make DeVone, Richmond, and the young men of ONS, the #1 AllStar.
