Richmond’s 6th Economic Summit to feature former CNN anchor and ex-Jerry Brown aide

The Sixth Annual Economic Summit in Richmond set for Thursday, Oct. 29, will feature local leaders, inspiring keynote speakers and, most importantly, an opportunity for local businesses to access valuable resources and expert tips and to collaborate with city leaders and government officials on ways to grow and create jobs.

The event, presented by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Richmond, will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Craneway Pavilion, 1414 Harbour Way S.

For the $20 entrance fee, local businesses will have access to supportive workshops and guidance on how to access capital, build capacity and maximize potential, according to organizers. Breakfast, lunch and access to all programs are included in the entrance fee.

The keynote speakers include Kish Rajan (pictured on right), the former director of the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. Rajan is currently president of the Southern California Leadership Council. Emmy Award winning former CNN business anchor Valerie Coleman Morris (pictured on left), who is now an author providing financial advice, is also slated to speak.

Mayor Tom Butt is scheduled to attend and provide welcoming remarks, along with City Manager Bill Lindsay.

Among the chamber’s goals for the event is to help provide resources to sustain and grow small to medium sized businesses in Richmond and West County. See the flyer below for more information.
