The future of the Kennedy High football program sure looks bright.
We just got word from Sal Morabito, a special ed teacher and staunch Eagles supporter, that the Kennedy High junior varsity football team is off to a blazing start this year, recording a 5-0 record and outscoring their opponents 242-0. Last week, the young Eagles defeated Albany High 73-0. In previous games, the JV team won by scores of 42-0, 51-0, 26-0 and 50-0.

The best part is they’re excellent kids, Morabito said.
“Not only doing well on the field, but in the class these young men are setting a standard to be great men in the city,” he said. “And on the campus at Kennedy our team saying is ‘we all we got we all we need.’ These young men want to put this school on the map for the great things that are happening here at Kennedy.”
A caring coaching staff led by coaches Greg Marshall, George Jackson and Masa Miyashrio was credited for the team’s success.
“When they train or play in a game, we all feel the positive energy of the whole team,” Morabito said.
