In the wake of Snoop Dogg’s recent visit to Kennedy High for the season-opener of the Snoop Youth Football League, a local artist has released the official anthem song and music video for the Richmond Steelers.

Much like the team, the anthem hits hard. The song is by Lil Ric, who is a Steelers coach, runs the entertainment label Ae’on Musicgroup and also grew up near Kennedy High at Monterey Pines Apartments, once known as Kennedy Manor. The track also features lil Khari, the artist said.

The video was shot during the season opener, when Snoop coached his Diamond Valley Steelers’ U-12 team to a victory over the Richmond team. The event was special as it marked Richmond’s first season in the ever-growing Snoop league, which can offer players national exposure.
