Eight Super Bowl Vince Lombardi Trophies won by the 49ers and Raiders, along with a yet-named player from one of those championship teams, are stopping through Richmond on Oct. 24.

The “50 Tour: Champions of the Bay,” which is presented by Chevron, has been visiting cities throughout the region in anticipation of Super Bowl 50 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara in February.

The Richmond leg of the tour stop will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at John F. Kennedy Park, located at Cutting Blvd & South 41st St. The exhibit will coincide with a community-led effort to significantly renovate the park in a single day. As Oct. 24 is national Make a Difference Day, hundreds of volunteers are expected to assist in the daylong effort to modernize the underutilized park.

Along with Vince Lombardi trophies and autograph signings, the tour will also feature the Chevron STEM Zone, an interactive space demonstrating how science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fuels innovation through the lens of football. Additionally, there will be an area for youth that includes a “PLAY 60, Play On” play space and The Re(a)d Zone early literacy corner. For more details, visit the Host Committee’s website.
