The free summer concert series in Point Richmond that has drawn record crowds this season has two more show dates left, including tonight.

From 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. tonight, The Rusty String Express (Bluegrass) (see video below)and Dennis Johnson (pictured above) & The Mississippi Ramblers (Slide Guitar) are set to perform at the outdoor venue at the corner of Park Place and Washington Avenue, according to Point Richmond Music’s (PRM).

During the shows, local restaurants will be open and there will be prize drawings, face-painting for kids and plenty of dancing in the street. Concert-goers can also help continue the Point Richmond Music free concert series in future summers by visiting the organization’s no-host bar, where proceeds go directly to support the events.

The summer season will draw to a close on Friday, Sept. 25, with a performance by Soji & The Afrobeats (Nigerian) and SOL (Latin).

Point Richmond Music, a nonprofit, describes itself as a group that celebrates diversity and promotes the arts and community through the universal language of music.
