The community is invited to take part in an art walk through downtown Richmond on Sept. 24.

Residents will have a chance to view various artworks displayed in windows or as public art around downtown Richmond, while meeting with the artists and grubbing on light refreshments.

The art walk departs from the Richmond Main Street Initiative (RMSI) Office at 402 Harbour Way at 4;45 p.m. and returns at about 5:30 p.m.

The event is part of RMSI’s Art in Windows program, which includes temporary art displays in the downtown area that turn vacant storefronts into living, breathing art spaces.

The many pieces of public artwork in the downtown area will also be in focus during the Sept. 24 art walk.
