Bay Area Rescue Mission, the Richmond-based nonprofit providing food, shelter, and assistance toward self-sufficiency for the Bay Area’s homeless, is set to host a Back to School celebration for local K-12 students on Tuesday.

The event, which runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Nevin Center Park at 500 Macdonald Ave., features free dinner, music, activities and school supplies, including backpacks.
