Happy birthday, Richmond!

The city was incorporated on Aug. 7, 1905.

To celebrate the 110th year, Mayor Tom Butt invited residents to toast at Up and Under in Point Richmond at 6 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, Richmond Museum of History will simultaneously celebrate the birthday along with the city’s involvement in the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (PPIE) of 1915. A public program with feature a performance by Contra Costa Chorale as well as a lecture by author Laura Ackley.
