The oldest and largest in-water sailboat show on the West Coast is coming to Richmond in April.

The 21st annual Strictly Sail Pacific Boat Show, previously held at Jack London Square Marina in Oakland, will park more than 100 sailboats in the city’s Marina Bay Yacht Harbor, and will include more the 200 exhibits inside nearby Craneway Pavilion, from April 7-10 next year, according to a statement Wednesday.

The Richmond location offers additional space from the Oakland site, said Peter Durant, association manager for Sail America. the trade association for the U.S. sailing industry.

Sail America noted how the deep-draft Marina Bay Yacht Harbor can accommodate vessels up to 120 feet, “giving in-water exhibitors the chance to showcase even more of their product lines, resulting in greater consumer interest.”

Durant described the show as the “largest selling event for the sailing industry and an ultimate sailing experience for attendees to promote the growth of recreational sailing.”
