A law enforcement officer’s loaded gun and badge were taken Friday morning during an auto burglary at Point Isabel Regional Shoreline in Richmond, according to Bay City News.

East Bay Regional Park police officers responded to the auto burglary at 8:17 a.m. Aside from the theft of the gun and badge, few other details were immediately available.

An initial report of the incident did not identify the agency that employs the officer, saying only that it is in the Bay Area. Nor did the report mention if the targeted car was a law enforcement agency’s vehicle or personal.
