This week, the West Contra Costa Unified (WCCUSD) is beginning its free summer meals program providing youth 18 and under access to nutritious foods while they’re on break.

On Tuesday, the district will host an official BBQ kick-off for its Summer Food Program at its nutrition center at 750 Bissell Ave. District kids, their families, the community and partners are invited to the BBQ, which will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Along with good food, information on the program will be available.
