Richmond police do not suspect foul play was involved in the death of a male victim on 23rd Street in Richmond Thursday night.

The victim, whose identity wasn’t immediately available, was found unresponsive in the 900 block of 23rd Street about 7 p.m., Richmond police Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said Friday. A reader provided the image above from the scene.

The Contra Costa County coroner’s office indicated the death may have been the result of an overdose, but the official cause remains under investigation.
