It’s not too early to plan for the Independence Day festivities, as tickets for the July 3 dinner and fireworks event on the SS Red Oak Victory may sell out quickly, according to the Richmond Museum Association.

Only 150 tickets are available for the BBQ and fireworks show and all must be ordered in advance. The tickets are $35 for regular seating. For $5 more, a VIP ticket can be purchased that will include boat deck seating, a first for the event, the museum said.

Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (510) 235-7387, in person at the Museum or ROV gift shops, or on the RMA website.

Boarding starts at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show at dusk.

The ship is located at 1337 Canal Blvd, Berth 6A, in Richmond.
