Richmond residents will be able to receive free health care screenings and register for Medi-Cal services during a health care enrollment and resource fair this Saturday, June 27.
The fair is sponsored by LifeLong Medical Care and will be held at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center on Civic Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. LifeLong opened an urgent care center across the street from Doctors Medical Center following the closure of the hospital earlier this year.
Besides Medi-Cal enrollment, the fair will feature a healthy food giveaway and free immigrant resources, such as legal aid.
To enroll in Medi-Cal and other health care programs, residents are asked to bring proof of income, such as a current pay stub or bank statement, if available; a birth certificate or legal residence card; and proof of residency, such as electric, cable or telephone bill. A picture ID is also necessary.
