El Cerrito police responded last week to two rather indecent reports, including the groping of a woman along the BART path and a separate incident involving a man who masturbated in public.

On Friday about 8:20 p.m., a woman walking in the area of the BART path at Eureka Avenue reported that an unknown male came up from behind and grabbed her buttocks, police said. The suspect, who was about 5-10 with a skinny build, fled the area and has not been found. He was wearing beige pants and a dark-colored jacket, police said, but his race was not known.

Three days earlier, police had better luck catching a man who allegedly followed a victim while masturbating in the 5300 block of Barrett Avenue. The suspect, a 20-year-old Richmond man, was arrested for indecent exposure, booked into the El Cerrito Police Department jail and released with a citation, police said.
