Patients can obtain personal medical records from Doctors Medical Center free of charge

Community will continue to pay one of two Doctors Medical Center taxes following hospital closure
Although Doctors Medical Center closed on Tuesday, patients can still get a hold of their medical records for free, Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia said in his e-update Wednesday.

Medical records can be requested by calling (510) 970-5159. Once you make the request you will be told when to pick up your records at DMC.

“The closure of this facility makes it all the more important that the tens of thousands of residents who have used it for services obtain their medical records for use at their new health care providers,” Gioia said.
