Worker in San Pablo critically injured after fall; employer under Cal/OSHA investigation

A worker was critically injured after falling about 20 to 25 feet from a housing development in San Pablo on April 14, an incident that is now under investigation by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA), according to Bay City News.

The fall occurred about 2:30 p.m. at 109 Paseo Way, the location of the KB home housing development. The man was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center for treatment, Bay City News reported, citing a Contra Costa County fire official.

Cal/OSHA says it is probing the safety steps taken by the man’s employer, Ridgeline Framing Corporation.
