The community is invited to the free Sister-to-Sister empowerment conference on Saturday in Richmond, where speakers and panels will tackle a wide range of subjects including education, prostitution, drugs and mental health issues.

The keynote speaker is Evangelist Denise Matthews, formerly known as Vanity of the Prince-created musical group Vanity 6.

The conference will run from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Praise Fellowship Bible Church, 5221 Central Ave. Suite 100 in Richmond.

The event includes free food and is hosted by Arlinda Timmons Theus Love. Guest speakers will include successful business women, local activists, addictions experts, academics and others.
