The Richmond Little League and Softball seasons will kick off with a parade on Saturday.

The parade of teams begins at 9 a.m., starting from the parking lot at 24th Street and Nevin Avenue. The parade then heads south on 24th to Macdonald Avenue, then east on Macdonald to Nicholl Park.

Opening ceremonies begin at Nicholl Park and games will start on all three fields at 11 a.m. and run through 6 p.m.

Organizers are asking all family, friends, local businesses and other neighbors to line the streets along the parade route and cheer for the kids.
