Four people suffered moderate injuries following a two-car crash on Richmond Parkway Monday morning, a Richmond fire captain said.

The crash occurred near Goodrick Avenue about 8 a.m., Fire Capt. Rico Rincon said.

One of the vehicle’s rolled over as a result of the crash. Also, a fire broke out in the engine compartment. The four people in the vehicles managed to escape the vehicles before fire crews arrived and put out the blaze, Rincon said.

All four victims were transported to local hospitals with moderate injuries, the fire captain added.

A cause of the crash is under investigation.
