El Cerrito High School, the team that the San Francisco Chronicle called ‘perhaps the most entertaining squad to watch in the Bay Area,” is hosting the North Coast Section Division II semi-final game against Las Lomas Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Gauchos stars include transfer Carlos Johnson, point guard Tyrell Alcorn and wing Sayeed Pridgett. The team (27-3) is the No. 1 seed in the Division II tourney and made the semifinals after handily defeating No. 16 Washington and No. 9 Newark Memorial.
