Mariah Sanaa, the talented 9-year-old Richmond rapper who wowed us in a YouTube video last year, has done it again.

The ever-busy Sanaa recently released a new video of her rhyming over a track by Omarion featuring Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko. Sanaa’s version is called, “Post to Be.” (See video below). In addition, Sanaa is currently working on her second mixtape, called “Covergirl Vol.2 The Reshoot.”

The YouTube video that first put Sanaa on the map had her rapping over Rich Homie Quan’s popular track, “Walk Thru.” The company that produced it, Oakland-based Pure Visuals, said Sanaa “puts school first” despite her theatrical talents.

Sanaa has also been performing regionally and, as of last year, was an ambassador for the I Love All My Fans Kids clothing line. As she continues balancing her studies and music during the school year, Sanaa doesn’t have any performances planned in the near future, but does intend to perform at Richmond’s Juneteenth festival this summer.
