Starting Sunday, AC Transit will operate the 72R San Pablo Rapid line on Saturdays and Sundays along with weekdays.
The addition of weekend service between Jack London Square in Oakland and Contra Costa College in San Pablo will help “people get around more quickly,” the transit agency said.
The 72R buses operate every 15 minutes from about 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The increased service is part of a series of changes that began in December resulting from AC Transit’s increased ridership, which has led to an improved financial situation, the agency said.
