The man who was found fatally shot in a car on 23rd Street early Saturday has been identified as Fidel Rodriguez-Romero, 52, of Richmond, according to the Contra Costa County coroner’s office.

Rodriguez-Romero was found in the driver’s seat of the car in the 700 block of 23rd Street shortly after 3 a.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A ShotSpotter gunshot detection activation alerted police to the shooting, police said.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
