We told you last month how Richmond basketball star Riana Byrd moved into third place in career rebounds for San Jose State University following a Jan. 21 game against Boise State.

It turns out Byrd was not done reaching career milestones.

Earlier this month against Fresno State, the junior moved into third place in career blocks with 142 in 82 games, according to SJSU.

She is just six blocks from tying Rhoda Chew (1982-85, 148 blocks) and 14 from equaling the all-time career blocks leader Elinor Banks (1978-81, 156).

At her current pace, according to the school, Bryd could also finish her career as just the second Spartan ever to reach the 1,000 point/1,000 rebound plateau, joining Banks (1,672 points/1,062 rebounds – 1978-81).

Byrd is an alum of Inderkum High in Sacramento.
