Four male suspects are being sought in connection with the gunpoint robbery of the Grocery Outlet in Richmond Friday night, police said.

The robbery occurred just after 6:30 p.m. at the grocery store at 12010 San Pablo Ave., Richmond police Capt. Mark Gagan said Saturday.

After robbing the store, four men wearing gloves, hooded sweat jackets and bandanas covering their faces fled on foot, Gagan said. The amount stolen was not disclosed.

Witnesses provided conflicting reports on which directions the suspects had fled, according to police, and no arrests have been made.

An officer noted the robbery method was similar to other recent Richmond incidents, where the getaway vehicle was a green BMW sport utility vehicle.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly included a photograph and map of the Grocery Outlet in San Pablo.  This incident in fact occurred at the Grocery Outlet in Richmond. Our sincerest apologies for the error. The photo has been removed.
