Temple Beth Hillel, the only synagogue in West Contra Costa County, is ushering in the New Year with its first event: A performance from a popular Jewish choir on Jan. 25.

Kol Truah, the Jewish Choir of the East Bay, will present “Shir LaShalom, Sing for Peace,” at 3 p.m. at the Richmond synagogue at 801 Park Central (Hilltop exit off I-80).

The whole community is invited. Suggested donations for the performance are $15, or $10 for students and seniors.
