A man was found fatally shot in a car on 23rd Street in Richmond early Saturday, according to news reports.

The gunshot detection system, ShotSpotter, alerted police to a shooting in the 700 block of 23rd Street shortly after 3 a.m., police told Bay City News.

Officer’s reportedly found the man in the driver’s seat of a car at a parking lot at the corner of 23rd Street and Burbeck Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
