Local nonprofits and public agencies can benefit from learning how to effectively recruit, manage and motivate volunteers who are often their lifeblood.

That’s why the Volunteer Center of the East Bay (VCEB) is encouraging local agencies to sign up for its Feb. 5 Volunteer Team Building training at the Richmond Community Foundation.

The training will run from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Richmond CF community board room at 1014 Florida Ave., Suite 200.

Attendees will receive instruction on techniques, structures and exercises on how to inspire a team of volunteers to do their best work.

Volunteers “want to know that they have made a difference,” VCEB said. “Come learn, laugh and play a bit as you figure out what would work to strengthen their commitment and impact.”

The cost for the training is $35 for member agencies and $50 for non-member agencies.

Register here.  Note there is a $10 non-refundable registration fee.

The Richmond CF is the Richmond host site for VCEB as part of a partnership to bring  opportunities to Richmond and West County.
