A draft plan for the Yellow Brick Road project — a community effort to redesign certain streets in the Iron Triangle neighborhood in a way that would prioritize children and families over cars —  is scheduled to be unveiled Monday, according to the nonprofit Pogo Park.

The community is invited to Elm Playlot, 720 Elm Ave., between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to help review and discuss the plans, which are funded by a Caltrans grant.

The proposed network of yellow-marked bike and walking routes would connect children and families to key community assets such as schools, churches, parks and cultural institutions.

At a Living Preview event in October, the community banded together to design and test proposals for street improvements that would slow cars down.

“We encourage you to attend this final meeting, review the draft plan, and let us know what you think,” Pogo Park said.

Dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
