Santa Claus is coming to town early this year and wants far more than milk and cookies.

St. David School at 871 Sonoma St. in Richmond is hosting its Breakfast with Santa & Holiday Boutique on Sunday.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the school’s Rose Mello Hall.

It’s only a rumor, but we heard Santa would only show up for breakfast on the condition that he and his guests receive a hearty holiday meal. This is probably the reason the school plans to serve pancakes, potatoes, sausages, juice and coffee. The annual breakfast might explain Santa’s big belly come Christmas Day. ‘Tis the season for big eating.

We also heard Santa likes a bargain: The cost for Sunday’s breakfast is just $7 for adults and $5 for children.

The community is encouraged to stop by and meet Santa!
