In what officials believe is the only local camp for kids being offered during the winter recess, Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County has announced its Winter Wonderland program.

The camp for girls between ages 5 and 14 runs from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Kids are served three meals per day while participating in an array of activities. See the flyer below for information on cost and enrollment.

For nearly 40 years, Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County has inspired girls to succeed through workshops and after-school programming such as Operation Smart, which exposes young women to the sciences through hands-on learning. The nonprofit also helps pave a path for girls hoping to attend college.

Earlier this year, the nonprofit’s headquarters received some improvements with help from volunteers employed by Chevron Richmond.
