Now this is a holiday party the entire community should attend.

The Richmond Main Street Initiative and the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts are inviting everyone to the Downtown Holiday Festival on Wednesday, which runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features performances from the Nutcracker, a Christmas skit, live music, a holiday street lighting and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus.

The free, family-friendly event centers at 339 11th St. Santa visits from 4-7 p.m.

From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., attendees will be treated to spectacular performances of ballet scenes from the Nutcracker, of African dance and drumming, a Christmas skit and more. Additionally, New Orleans Second Line Music and Dance will perform.

The La Rama Procession kicks off at 7:15 p.m., followed by caroling and the holiday street lighting at 7:30 p.m.

Seems like it’s going to be a great time for all.
