As we’ve reported, BART’s new train line to Oakland International Airport is set to open on Saturday. The AirBART bus system will cease operating the same day.

The driver-less trains will haul riders between Coliseum Station and Oakland International Airport Station in just over eight minutes, traveling at 30 mph.

The cost to ride is $6 in addition to the regular fare, so the one-way trip from Richmond station will be $9.60.

A public grand opening will be held Friday at the Coliseum Station from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m

Here’s a video previewing the new system, and below the video is the daily schedule of operation.
