Having computer issues? De Anza High Tech Academy to hold Free Fix Day

De Anza High School Tech Academy

The De Anza High School Tech Academy is encouraging community members to bring their troubled laptops and desktops to the Free Fix Day on Oct. 25.

Tech Academy students will offer their time and labor at the De Anza High gym from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

They are members of a nonprofit academy that aims to bridge the digital divide by providing free tech services to low-income residents. The academy also provides students skills that can lead to jobs that are in high demand.

The academy’s students will be able to diagnose and repair machines with minor issues, including virus removal, operating system installation and other general computer issues.
