Candidates vying to be Richmond’s next mayor or a council member will face “some very tough questions” at a debate set to occur at a local church Saturday, said Steven Parker of The Steven Parker Radio Show, which is hosting the event.

Residents are encouraged to attend the debate, which is free and will run from noon to 3 p.m. at Miracle Temple Church, 2425 Cutting Blvd. The event will also be broadcast live on

Parker says all candidates for mayor and council seats for the November election have confirmed they will attend.

“I will be asking some very tough questions, composed by myself, Ms. Tasion Shawniece of The Post and Mr. Robert Rogers of The West County Times,” Parker said in a Facebook post.
