A wonderful story has come from The Eye segment of the Contra Costa Times, which is not uncommon.

This one’s about 48-year-old Richmond native Tonia Stinson, the female head coach of the San Pablo Cowboys pee-wee league football team. Stinson has been “the best kept secret in local sports for decades,” the Rev. Andre Shumake told the Times.

The “female Bill Belichick” has 30 years of experience coaching youth baseball and football, according to the newspaper.

“My players know I mean business,” she said.

The full report is here and well worth reading.
